The Theology of Christian Joy (기쁨)
Joy in Scripture is not superficial emotionalism. It is the rock-solid, blood-bought assurance that God is sovereign, Christ is risen, and His glory is our eternal inheritance.
The Chief End of Creation
Man was created not as the center of the universe, but as a vessel designed to mirror and rejoice in the supreme beauty, holiness, and majesty of God.

Biblical joy is anchored in unconditional grace. God loved, chose, redeemed, and sealed His people before the foundation of the world, guaranteeing their eternal security.

On Calvary, the holy wrath of God against sin was fully satisfied in Christ (propitiation). Jesus endured the cross looking forward to the joy of redeeming His people.

Worldly happiness vanishes when circumstances deteriorate. Christian joy (*gipum*) thrives in affliction because God works all things together for our sanctification and His glory.

Scripture Alone

Christ Alone
Jesus Christ is the only Savior, supreme Lord, and sole Mediator between a holy God and sinful humanity. His blood alone cleanses all sin.

To God Alone Be the Glory
The overarching apex of all theology. Creation, redemption, providence, and human history exist for the sole purpose of displaying God’s infinite glory.

The Power of God for Salvation
The Gospel is not good advice on how to improve your life; it is the glorious historic proclamation of what God has done through Jesus Christ to rescue sinners.
God is Holy, Righteous & Just
God is the eternal Creator of the universe, infinitely holy and morally perfect. Because He is righteous and just, He cannot simply overlook sin or sweep wickedness under the rug.
Man is Fallen & Condemned
Every human being has violated God’s holy law in thought, word, and deed. Left to ourselves, we are dead in trespasses, unable to save ourselves or produce righteousness acceptable to God.
Christ Died in the Place of Sinners
God demonstrated His love: God the Son took on human flesh, lived the sinless life we failed to live, and bore the full penalty of God’s wrath on the cross for all who believe, rising bodily on the third day.
Surrender to Christ as Lord & Savior
Salvation is not gained by religious rituals, charity, or self-effort. It is received through genuine repentance (turning away from sin) and trusting wholly in Jesus Christ as Lord and Redeemer.

His Ineffable Holiness
